We have been providing pro bono services to the National Aeronautic and Space Administration’s Audit and Financial Analysis Committee since fiscal year (FY) 2010. Bill Campbell is our representative on the committee. After seven years of disclaimers of opinion on their annual financial statement audits, NASA received a qualified audit opinion in 2010 and unqualified audit opinions for 2011 and 2012, with no material weaknesses. Congratulations NASA!
With looming Federal budget cuts just over the horizon, AFN has seen a dramatic shift in our business. Fewer clients are requesting assistance in service delivery through supporting engagements with Federal agencies. In the third quarter of calendar year 2012, the majority of our efforts have been in business development, capture management, and government relations management. AFN is well suited for these initiatives due to our extensive personal contacts with Executive Branch leaders.
